General Rules

The following are the rules here at Gearhead Gab. Please read, and abide by them. It'll make everyone's time here much more enjoyable.

1. No trolling, or flaming. Don't post here just to rip on, or bait, each other. Remember what the great Abraham Lincoln once said: Be excellent to each other.

2. No harassing board members.
This goes for posts, PMs (Private Messages), and IMs (Instant Messages). Other than that, this should be pretty self-explanatory.

3. No posting IM or PM conversations.
Respect yourself and your fellow board members: Keep IMs and PMs private.

4.No linking to illegal downloads or copyrighted materials.
If you think it's shady, it's probably shady.

5. Selling of pirated software, CDs, etc., will not be allowed.
Neither is linking to places where these things CAN be bought. Posters will be banned for breaking this one.

6. Don't steal someone else's bandwidth.
Whenever you link to a picture hosted on someone else's site without their permission, you are stealing that person's bandwidth. If you need to know of a free site where you can host your own images, PM THE LAW.

7. Don't post links, or put in your signatures, anything that advertises other aftermarket car parts manufacturers.
We want you to have fun with this, but we also hope that you'll respect the fact that this is a Clevite Engine Parts site. Posting other types of links, or signatures are acceptable; provided they're not obvious spam, porn, or in bad taste. Obviously, "bad taste" will be at the sole discretion of the staff.

8. No porn ANYTHING.
No links. No images. Nothing. Any type of pornographic posting will lead to the poster being banned from the site.

9. No Political Discussion at all.
It's been our experience that people don't stay civil during political discussions, no matter how well thought out their points may be. Do not put anything political in your signatures or avatars either.

10. No discussion of moral issues or religion.
Just like the political discussion. It can't be tolerated; not because we're not interested in such issues, but because some people just can't keep their emotions in check for a civil discussion.

11. Put posts where they're supposed to be.
You may not always know which forum to post something in, but take an educated guess, and we'll let you know if we're going to move it.

12. Keep posts on-topic.
That one's pretty self-explanatory

13. Don't give the Admins/Mods a hard time.
If we do something that you don't agree with, PM us. We don't bite. Hard.

14. No discussion in the forums about Admin/Mod decisions.
If you have questions or concerns regarding the rules, or disciplinary actions we've taken on board members, PM the Admin/Mod responsible.

15. No alternate identities.
If you're caught, you'll be banned from the boards. No exceptions.

16. Keep the swearing down to a minimum.
A lot of us swear, that's a given; but please, be mindful of the fact that the next person who reads your post could be a child.

17. No personals.
There're plenty of online dating sites out there. This isn't one of them.

We know that most people will have no problems with the above rules. You're the people who this site is for.
