We at MAHLE Clevite are pleased to announce one of our inaugural "Motorheads of the Month", Mr. Jay Blake!
And so, since you no doubt want me to stop typing...
| Jay Blake wrote: | 1) Why do you think you deserve to be a Clevite “Motorhead of the Month?"
I am honored to be chosen as one of the inaugural “Motorheads of the Month.” My love of cars goes back to when I was a small child and I’ve always always been a Clevite customer. The race team that I started, Follow A Dream races an Alcohol Funny Car in NHRA competition, a 526 cid Hemi that creates 3000 horsepower. The car accelerates
from 0-250mph in 5 seconds. We run the car on the ragged edge, although we do try to stay on the right side of the edge.
2) Where do you buy your parts, and/or who builds your engine?
We purchase parts for the Funny Car from a variety of manufacturers and specialty suppliers. The cylinder block and heads are manufactured by Brad Anderson Enterprises out of Ontario, CA and our engines are all assembled in house by our phenomenal tuner Tom Howell.
3) Are you running Clevite/Perfect Circle/Victor Reinz parts in your motor?
Yes, we run Perfect Circle Piston Rings and Clevite Engine Bearings, as their products can withstand the constant abuse we put them through. Clevite and Perfect Circle are also always willing to assist when we need technical assistance, and that makes all the difference when your running a car like ours.
4) Do you have a website that you’d like us to link to?
Yes, if you’d like to learn more about Follow A Dream you can log onto www.followadream.org. |
