I bought myself a vibratory machine from Harbor Freight the other day. It was "On Sale" OK! I'm told that by polishing the parts that it won't make the engine any faster. But I'm just wanting to clean and polish the nuts and bolts. I have an old motorcycle, and a car that I'm wanting to show.

Has anyone used a vibratory machine? The media choices are corn cob, walnut shell with rouge, plastic, ceramic, etc... I have different parts to clean and polish. From steel, alloy, and some chrome plated parts. Has anyone experienced different media on different parts?

I've only seen brass shell casing get polished by sand in one of those things.
Let us know what you end up with?

I have two vibratory machines now. One with the the plastic triangles which smoothed out the rough areas nicely. The other has the corn cob with rouge which polishes them up. They almost look to be chrome plated.
